Part 3 of my art installation has been relocated from SCUOLA to a pedestrian bridge situated near the Chiesa di San Lazzaro dei Mendicanti Church. This decision was made because of the wooden wishing boards, traditionally used in Japanese temples for individuals to inscribe their personal wishes. Placing this installation in front of the Church was a deliberate choice to create a striking contrast and facilitate a cross-cultural dialogue between the East and West. To substitute physical metal locks, I opted to print images of “locks” on the wooden boards. This concept generated a delightful concept. However, unfortunately, due to time constraints, the boards were not prepared for visitors to inscribe their wishes upon.
